The enormous copiapoa really made my day and the huge mammillaria clusters really topped it off.

I wonder how old some of those copiapoa's were. I shudder to think how many years it would be before my c. cinerea seedlings which are the size of pea's get to a comparable size. Did you get some nice takeaway to add to your collection?

I certainly did. I will post a pic up in the morning.

The golden barrels where 35 years old and didn't flower until they were 17.

The copiapoa she suspects is about 30-40 years old as she bought a whole copiapoa collection many years ago. There where a large number of very impressive sized copiapoas but sadly many had scaring. This species is very tricky to grow on the tropical coast.

Very nice photos there!!!

Love the Copiapoa!!! Awesome looking!!

For some reason i have always liked the Ferocactus Schwarzii, great to see some larger ones around!

Is the second last photo Mammillaria Albilanta V. Micromeris?

I do have one and look very similar, but one in photo is HUGE!!!!

Not sure what the mamm was but I managed to score a little plant. Guess I just have to wait another decade to have one look anything like that.

The copiapoa was about the size of a soccer ball. I also have a little on of these about the size of an egg. SO many years to wait!!!!!!!!!
