I return them to soil.
I do not sell any plants and seeds of cacti to others currently.

Thanks for the answer Hanazono.

One other question... When you prune the roots of 1 year old Asterias seedlings, how long do they need to heal before repotting in moistened medium? Thank you!

The cutting tap roots of 2 years old asterias seedlings is my standard job.
1 year old is still trial level.

I did 1st trial last year without any issues.
I added further trial in this year also.

I think there are various opinions for the heal time.
A long heal time can make less chance of rotting from the cutting face but it makes to be harder the formation of roots.

1 year old seedlings have small bodies and so I use a short heal time, 4~5 days.

I sowed Astrophytum seeds of 5 species in 6 pots 2 days ago.
All seeds were harvested in this month.
I sowed seeds in July/August for this season and this was an additional sowing.

(5) F1 hanazono kabuto x red flowering asterias - 1 pot
(6) Red flwering asterias x F1 hanazono kabuto - 1 pot
I have tried to create red flowering hanazono kabuto but 1st filial shows just reddish color.
I re-cross Red flowering asterias and will have a look the result of 2nd filial.
Parent plants

(Cool myriostigma cv kikkou x fukuryu banjyku - 2 pots
(9) fukuryu banjyaku x myriostigma cv kikkou - 1 pot
I have tried to create a new cultivar "yoroi".

(10) myriostigma cv Onzuka - 1 pot
