PostSubject: Shark's jaws and lithops...   Wed Apr 08, 2009 6:47 am

The faucarias are strutting their stuff at the moment, I caught this one in the act at the weekend. I've been missing the the others since they've been closed by the time I get home... hoping to catch some more during the coming Easter break.

And my first lithops flower for the year, there are a number of others budding up also so maybe more for you to enjoy if I can catch them. The last pic was taken when I got the plant last year.

Cheers CP.

They strike fairly easily from cuttings.
Faucaria candida is, I believe, the only white flowered one...

I've misseed most of my yellow ones, can't seem to get home early enough to catch them open... but I did manage to get this one the other day...

perhaps I'll take the knife to mine to give the cutting a try. will try it in the heated propagator.

as a follow on from my previous posting. took the knife to the healthiest faurcaria . one section treated as I do most of my succulents. other one placed into the propagator for extra warmth. will keep upating as to which gives best results.
